Description

Adenylate cyclase type 3 (ADCY3) mediates odorant detection via modulation of intracellular cAMP concentration. ADCY3 catalyzes the following reaction: ATP = 3',5'-cyclic AMP + diphosphate. ADCY3 is expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver, lung, pancreas, placenta, and skeletal muscle.
