Description 
RAC-gamma serine/threonine-protein kinase (AKT1) signals downstream of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) to mediate the effects of various growth factors such as PDGF, EGF, and IGF-I. Two specific sites, one in the kinase domain (Thr-305) and the other in the C-terminal regulatory region (Ser-472), need to be phosphorylated for AKT3 full activation.
