Description

G Protein beta-1 (GNB1) is a guanine nucleotide-binding protein (G proteins) involved as modulator or transducer in various transmembrane signaling systems. G proteins are composed of 3 units (alpha, beta and gamma). The beta and gamma chains are required for the GTPase activity, replacement of GDP by GTP, and G protein-effector interaction.
