DescriptionThe Leptin receptor (OB receptor, OBR) is the receptor for the obesity factor (leptin). The Leptin Receptor is involved in the regulation of fat metabolism and in lymphopoiesis. The Leptin receptor is closely related to the gp130 signal transducing component common to the IL-6, LIF, CNTF and G-CSF receptors. The Leptin receptor has multiple isoforms (A-E) with isoform B (OBRb) being the long single-pass type I membrane receptor, isoform C (OBRa) carrying a short cytoplasmic domain, and isoform E a shorter secreted form. This blocking peptide is from the long form (isoform B). Recommended Products250739 Leptin Receptor (long) Antibody Accession No.MW2140.2 g/mol SequenceThe synthetic peptide used to raise the antibody Cat. No. 250739 is selected from a sequence within the N-term region of human Leptin Receptor (isoform B). For blocking experiments, a 10 to 100 fold molar excess to antibody is recommended.
