Human CD40L
CD40L or CD154 is a membrane glycoprotein and differentiation antigen expressed on the surface of T-cells. The CD40 ligand stimulates B-cell proliferation and secretion of all immunoglobulin isotypes in the presence of cytokines. CD40 ligand has been shown to induce cytokine production and tumoricidal activity in peripheral blood monocytes. Human LDL-PLA2
LP-PLA2 is an enzyme produced by inflammatory cells and hydrolyzes oxidised phospholipids in low-density lipoprotein (LDL). LP-PLA2 travels in the blood mainly with LDL and less than 20% is associated with high-density lipoprotein. LP-PLA2 is involved in the development of atherosclerosis and is a marker for cardiac disease. Recombinant LP-PLA2 comprises a 420 amino acid fragment (22-441) corresponding to the mature LP-PLA2 protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag.

PDGF (Platelet-derived growth factor) is a mitogenic peptide growth hormone carried in the alpha-granules of platelets. It is released when platelets adhere to traumatized tissues. Connective tissue cells near the traumatized region respond by initiating the process of replication. The synthesis of PDGF can be induced by Interleukin-1, Interleukin-6, TNF-alpha, TGF-beta and EGF.
