GIP Antibody

$231.00
SKU: 250668

Human gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) is a 42-amino-acid peptide belonging to the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones. GIP is secreted by endocrine cells in the duodenal mucosa and stimulates glucose-dependent insulin secretion as well as GLP-1 release from more distal endocrine (L) cells in the intestinal mucosa. GIP shows amino-acid sequence similarities to glucagon, GLP-1 and GLP-2 (from approximately 50% identity for glucagon to 30% identity for GLP-2).

GIP staining in rat pancreas. Paraffin-embedded rat pancreas is stained with GIP Antibody (Cat. No. 250668) used at 1:200 dilution.
The GIP Antibody is used in Western blot to detect GIP in rat stomach lysates.

Endothelin-1 Antibody

$231.00
SKU: 250633

Endothelins are endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor peptides. Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is expressed in lung, placental stem villi vessels and in cultured placental vascular smooth muscle cells. Endothelin-1 is expressed as a 212-aa precursor (preproendothelin-1) that is sequentially cleaved into 2 chains: Endothelin-1 (21 aa) and Big Endothelin-1 (38 aa). This antibody recognizes an epitope in the N-term prodomain of Endothelin-1.

Endothelin-1 staining in mouse vascular endothelium. Paraffin-embedded mouse vascular endothelium is stained with Endothelin-1 Antibody (Cat. No. 250633) used at 1:100 dilution.
250633: The Endothelin-1 Antibody (Cat. No: 250633) is used at 1:200 in Western blot with rat brain lysate to detect Endothelin-1.

Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (A1) Antibody

$415.00
SKU: 250231
Human gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) is a 42-amino-acid peptide belonging to the glucagon-secretin family of peptide hormones. It is secreted by endocrine cells in the duodenal mucosa and stimulates glucose-dependent insulin secretion as well as GLP-1 release from more distal endocrine (L) cells in the intestinal mucosa. GIP shows amino-acid sequence similarities to glucagon, GLP-1 and GLP-2 (from approximately 50% identity for glucagon to 30% identity for GLP-2). This antibody binds human GIP and cross-reacts up to 10% with PACAP and human GLP-2 but
The Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (A1) Antibody (Cat. No. 250231) is used in Western blot to detect GIP in human tonsil tissue lysate
Paraffin-embedded human duodenum is stained with Gastric Inhibitory Polypeptide (A1) Antibody (Cat. No. 250231) used at 1:200 dilution.

Alpha-CGRP (A2) Antibody

$750.00
SKU: 250238
Calcitonin gene-related peptide is a 37 amino-acid vasoactive neuropeptide (MW 3789) widely expressed throughout the central and peripheral nervous system. CGRP has potent vasodilatory effects probably serving as a regulator of regional blood flow, in addition to a variety of other cellular effects. This antibody binds an epitope within the aa 1-18 of human alpha-CGRP. Based on inhibition ELISA, this antibody shows full cross-reactivity with rat alpha-CGRP and about 50% cross-reactivity with human beta-CGRP.
Paraffin-embedded rat tissue is stained with Alpha-CGRP (A2) Antibody (Cat. No. 250238) used at 1:400 dilution.

Alpha-CGRP (A1) Antibody

$750.00
SKU: 250237
Calcitonin gene-related peptide is a 37 amino-acid vasoactive neuropeptide (MW 3789) widely expressed throughout the central and peripheral nervous system. CGRP has potent vasodilatory effects probably serving as a regulator of regional blood flow, in addition to a variety of other cellular effects. This antibody binds an epitope within the aa 19-37 of human alpha-CGRP. Based on inhibition ELISA, this antibody cross-reacts up to 12% with human beta-CGRP and human amylin, whereas there is weak cross-reaction (<4%) with rat alpha-CGRP.
Paraffin-embedded rat tissue is stained with Alpha-CGRP (A1) Antibody (Cat. No. 250237) used at 1:400 dilution.

Peptide YY Antibody

$750.00
SKU: 250241
PYY (peptide tyrosine-tyrosine amide) is a 36 amino-acid. PYY is a member of the pancreatic polypeptide (PP) family of peptides (neuropeptide Y (NPY), PYY and PP). While NPY is localized in neurons (both in the central and peripheral nervous system) and PP in the pancreatic islets, PYY is found in both neurons and the gut. PYY is released in response to food intake from the same endocrine cells (L cells) in the intestinal mucosa as the glucagon-like peptides and inhibits gall bladder secretion, gut motility and pancreatic secretion.
Paraffin-embedded human small intestine is stained with Peptide YY Antibody (Cat. No. 250241) used at 1:200 dilution.
