Myomodulin neuropeptides are found in snails. They are expressed in all ganglia of the CNS in a neuron subset. They enhance the relaxation rate of electrically-induced contraction of the penis retractor muscle. Myomodulin peptides are generated after cleavage of a 40-kDa precursor protein into 5 chains: GLQMLRL-amide, QIPMLRL-amide, SMSMLRL-amide, SLSMLRL-amide, and PMSMLRL-amide (myomodulin A). Cat. No. 350278 corresponds to myomodulin A.
