PACAP 38 Peptide (Frog)
PACAP 38 Peptide (Frog) (Cat. No. 350322) corresponds to aa127-164 region of PACAP prohormone with C-term amidation. Pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) is a 19-kDa prohormone (171 aa in frog) processed into PACAP-related peptide (PRP-48, aa79-124), PACAP-27 (aa127-153) and PACAP-38 (aa127-164). PACAP stimulates adenylate cyclase in pituitary cells, playing pivotal roles as neurotransmitter and neuromodulator. PACAP belongs to the glucagon family, it induces insulin secretion by pancreatic beta cells.
