Description 
Reticulon-4 (neuroendocrine-specific protein, NOGO) is a reticulon protein expressed by the axonal oligodendrocytes. NOGO contributes to the axonal growth inhibitory action of the central myelin in growth cone collapse and neurite outgrowth. Antibody and inhibitory studies have implicated a regenerative role for NOGO in the adult CNS.
